OMOS Arquitectos was founded in 2019, when Carina Fernández defined her own obsession: contemporary Mexican architecture that uses local materials and respects context.
Philosophy
Three principles:
1. Dialogue with the site. The building responds to the climate, vegetation, topography, and light of the place. Not the other way around.
2. Local materials. Rammed earth, BTC, regional wood. It reduces transportation footprint and connects visually with the context.
3. Spaces to live in. They do not design for photography but for daily use. Every decision is functional before it is aesthetic.
Casa Cuarcita
Their best-known project. Firenze 2024 finalist in three categories. Lot 16 of Cantera Real, Montemorelos. 120 m² construction · 2,328 m² lot.
